Mixed Reality (XR) Demo Video - in DCS with RadioJoe007
This video demonstrates the Mixed Reality (XR) Pass-Thru capability of the Quest3 when paired with Virtual Desktop, creating a true Mixed Reality Flight Simulation environment and a very immersive experience. Using the native Quest3 Hands Pass-thru is most effective for those that do not already have 100% of the physical cockpit already built-out.
For those folks, Open Kneeboard is probably the best way to lock in the entire physical cockpit as a permanent clear window that is added into the Virtual environment.
The Quest3 Pass-thru method is quick and painless, and does not require hours of graphical editing to get your exact physical cockpit outlined and aligned with the exact color of Pink that you have defined in Virtual Desktop, etc.. There are many Youtube videos that highlight and teach this method very well. So, I’ll add a link to my favorite of those videos, below.
